Welcome to your cyber yearbook remembering over 100 years of Athenian athletics. The picture above tells it all as you see basketball in the early 20's at the old Tuttle Elementary. Every boy wanted to be a basketball player. Just look a the intensity on all their faces and note the willingness of a teacher to teach youngsters the joys of playing basketball in the "Cradle of Indiana Basketball." I wonder how many future Athenian stars are in this picture. I think the teacher is Frank McGeath, a teacher, coach, and Athletic Director of the early teens and 20's.
